FC Dallas vs LA Galaxy – Betting Preview

FC Dallas will be up against LA Galaxy on 5th March when these two sides meet in Major League Soccer. FC Dallas lost their opening match up and now they are 12th on the table.

LA Galaxy are 6th on the table, but that is not of much meaning as they are yet to play a game!

FC Dallas Preview

FC Dallas’ unbeaten run in season-opening matches came to an end after the 1-0 loss to Minnesota United FC. The 13-match unbeaten streak (W7 D6) dated back to the start of the 2010 season. Dallas’ last loss in a season opener was a 3-1 decision to the Chicago Fire in 2009.

Defender Sebastian Ibeagha made his FC Dallas debut as a starter. Geovane Jesus made his MLS and FC Dallas debut by subbing on in the 67th minute of the match. Former North Texas SC forward José Mulato also made his debut by coming on the 82nd minute!

FC Dallas dominated almost every statistic expect for the one that mattered!

They had more shots on target (11), they had the lion’s share of possession (63%), and they also had the better passing accuracy.

Although the result quite didn’t go their way, they will surely pick up the positives from their season opener and apply them when they face LA Galaxy at the weekend!

LA Galaxy Preview

The LA Galaxy will be hoping to gain momentum in 2023 after making it back to the MLS Cup Playoffs last year.

After finishing in fourth place in the Western Conference, Greg Vanney’s team defeated Nashville SC 1-0 in the first round of the Playoffs.

The Galaxy lost another dramatic El Trafico match against the eventual champions LAFC 3-2 in the Western Conference Semi-Finals, and that turned out to be their best effort.

The five-time winners did, however, come away from the campaign with a lot of positives and a lot of places they need to improve, which they surely will this time around!

Chicharito is obviously the talisman of this team, but you cannot understate just how much better the Galaxy looked once Riqui Puig arrived from Barcelona.
